"The sunset for this painting was taken out of my studio window on the anniversary of a good friend's passing. It felt like she gifted it to me in memory of her.
I struggled with this piece, until a friend commissioned me to paint a picture for him. His ideas seemed to lend themselves to what I had already started. It also happened that the finished scene looked much like a favourite place on his property."
